At 05:24 hours Station 4 Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the area of Warren Avenue and Andrews Road for an auto accident.

The police department was on scene advising of an accident as a result of a police pursuit. Ambulance 4-2 with Medic 4-1 made the response and were advised that the police department was reporting that the operator had fled the scene.

Tac 4 and Ambulance 4-2 arrived to find a van that had left the roadway, traveled through a fence and over some trees and came to rest near a small creek.

The van was found to contain approximately 250 gallons of cooking grease that was mostly contained to a large tank. Crews secured the scene and investigated the integrity of the grease tank.

The ambulance returned a short time later while the Tac awaited the removal of the vehicle due to the contents. After the investigation was complete and the vehicle had been removed crews observed 10-15 gallons of grease on the ground in close proximity of the creek. The D.E.P. was notified and Malvern Fire crews cleared the scene at 06:53
