Malvern Fire Company is awarded a 2009 AFG

On Friday, April 30, 2010 the Malvern Fire Company received notification from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that we were selected to receive a grant through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The grant will allow the fire company to install an exhaust extraction system in our existing engine room. Pumper Tanker to 54/56 Brush Fire
04/04/2010 1445 Hrs

On Easter Sunday the Malvern Fire Company along with the Goodwill Fire Company of West Chester station 52 were dispatched for tankers to assist the Goshen Fire Company stations 54/56 for a brush fire. Engine 4-5 with Captain Rychlak responded 5 minutes after dispatch and arrived on location to find the Goshen units trying to extinguish the brush fire. TAC-4 Standby At Green Ridge

On April 3rd, TAC-4 along with Ladder 56 (Goshen), and Delaware County Engine 45 (Parkside) covered Delaware County Station 63’s (Green Ridge) local from 5pm to 7am, while the members of Green Ridge Fire Company attended their annual Fire Company Banquet. The cover crews ran 1 gas leak call in Chester Township during the 14-hour standby, only to find out that the very next day, Green Ridge ran an auto accident with entrapment.
