Ladder 4 is truly the backbone and pride of the Malvern Fire Company fleet.  It is a 1993 Ferrara 75' rear-mount Aerial Ladder mounted on a Spartan Chassis.  It is equipped with a 1500 gpm Hale pump and carries 300 gallons of water, a 7.5 Kw diesel generator, a full compliment of fire fighting-hand and powers tools, 600' of 5" supply line and a new thermal imaging camera

Engine 4-5 is a 1996 Ferrara tanker-pumper mounted on a Spartan chassis.  It is equipped with a Hale 1500 gpm pump, a 3000 gallon water tank and a 10 Kw power-take-off generator.  It carries all of the necessary hand and power tools, plus 1000' of 5" supply line.  This is our biggest truck, weight over 30 tons and seating 8 firefighters.

Rescue 4 is a 2002 American LeFrance Pumper Rescue.  It carries a full complement of Hurst hydraulic rescue tools, hazardous materials incident response gear and a full range of firefighting equipment.  This multipurpose vehicle replaced 3 separate pieces of firefighting apparatus.

Brush - 4 is a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500 4 Wheel Drive Pickup fitted with a skid mount pump unit.  Equipped with a 220 gallon water tank and a 250 gallon per minute Waterous pump this unit is well-equipped to reach fires which are located far from a paved road.  This unit carries  2 air packs, a folding ladder and a 5000 pound winch.

Squad 4 is a 1995 Dodge 4WD pickup. It carries a basic set of firefighting and rescue tools. It is designed to assist on fire and EMS calls as needed.

Engine 4-2 is a 1955 Mack Fire Pumper with a 750 gpm Hale pump and a 500 gallon water tank.  It is retired now and is used only for parades, birthday parties, and special duties like bringing Santa and delivering Christmas trees.  Engine 4-2 is kept in working order should it ever be needed for an emergency


Chief & Deputy 4 Command vehicles are matching 2005 Ford Expeditions. They are used for the response of the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief on all emergencies to set-up and maintain command of the situation.

Medic 4-1 is a 2005 Ford Expedition. This unit carries a full complement of ALS and BLS Emergency Medical Equipment and is used as a chase car for providing Advanced Life Support Services to neighboring communities.

Medic 4-2 is a 2000 Chevy Tahoe. This unit also carries a full complement of ALS and BLS Emergency Medical Equipment and is used as a chase car for providing Advanced Life Support Services to neighboring communities.

Ambulance's 4-1 and 4-2  are  twin 2007 Type III ambulances built by Horton Emergency Vehicles. Both units carry a full compliment of Advanced and Basic Life support equipment.

Ambulance 4-3 is a 1993 Type I ambulance. It carries a full compliment of Basic Life Support equipment and is primarily used for special events and details.


Strike Team Trailer: Malvern Fire Company EMS is a member of the PA Department of Health Strike Team. This team is prepared to assist in the event of a major emergency or natural disaster to all of the regions around us. This trailer contains equipment necessary for these responses.
