Fire Apparatus

Ladder 4 is a 2009 KME 75 Foot Quint. The truck features a 500 gallon water tank, 2000 gpm pump, 10 kw generator, 475 horsepower Caterpillar Engine, and a full complement of ground ladders and structural firefighting equipment. Ladder 4 also has vehicle rescue tools as well.

Engine 4-5 is a 1996 Ferrara tanker-pumper mounted on a Spartan chassis.  It is equipped with a Hale 1500 gpm pump, a 3000 gallon water tank and a 10 Kw power-take-off generator.  It carries all of the necessary hand and power tools, plus 1000' of 5" supply line.  This is our biggest truck, weight over 30 tons and seating 8 firefighters.

Tac 4 Is a 2009 KME/GMC 5500 mini pumper. The truck features a 250 gallon water tank, a 20 gallon Class A foam tank, and a 1000 gpm pump. The truck is a versatile piece and has the tools to run as a brush truck, an engine, as well as our rescue truck. The Tac holds 1000ft of 3' supply line, 400ft of 1 3/4 attack line and 400ft of 1 1/2 forestry line. The truck will hold our Holmatro 27" spreader, Holmatro Cutter, 2 large telescoping rams, 4 Holmatro sidewinders and an assortment of cribbing.

Squad 4 is a 1995 Dodge 4WD pickup. It carries a basic set of firefighting and rescue tools. It is designed to assist on fire and EMS calls as needed.

Engine 4-2 is a 1955 Mack Fire Pumper with a 750 gpm Hale pump and a 500 gallon water tank.  It is retired now and is used only for parades, birthday parties, and special duties like bringing Santa and delivering Christmas trees.  Engine 4-2 is kept in working order should it ever be needed for an emergency


Chief & Deputy 4 Command vehicles are matching 2005 Ford Expeditions. They are used for the response of the Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief on all emergencies to set-up and maintain command of the situation.



Emergency Medical Apparatus

Medic 4-1

Medic 4-1 is a 2008 Dodge Durango. This unit carries a full complement of ALS and BLS Emergency Medical Equipment and is used as a chase car for providing Advanced Life Support Services to neighboring communities.


Medic 4-2

Medic 4-2 is a 2005 Ford Expedition. This unit carries a full complement of ALS and BLS Emergency Medical Equipment and is used as a chase car for providing Advanced Life Support Services to neighboring communities.


Medic 4-5

Medic 4-5 is a 2000 Chevy Tahoe. This unit carries a full complement of ALS and BLS Emergency Medical Equipment and is used as a chase car for providing Advanced Life Support Services to neighboring communities.


Ambulance 4-1 and 4-2

Ambulance's 4-1 and 4-2  are  twin 2007 Type III ambulances built by Horton Emergency Vehicles. Both units carry a full compliment of Advanced and Basic Life support equipment.

Ambulance 4-3 is a 1993 Type I ambulance. It carries a full compliment of Basic Life Support equipment and is primarily used for special events and details.


Strike Team Trailer: Malvern Fire Company EMS is a member of the PA Department of Health Strike Team. This team is prepared to assist in the event of a major emergency or natural disaster to all of the regions around us. This trailer contains equipment necessary for these responses.
