| After more than 30 years of service, the officers and members of the Malvern Fire Company proudly congratulates Firefighter/EMT Brian Hughes on his retirement from East Whiteland Township
Brian began his career with the Township in 1994, when he joined as a Firefighter/EMT. For more than three decades, Brian answered calls, worked alongside countless firefighters, and dedicated himself to protecting the residents of East Whiteland.
And Brian has truly seen it all.
He watched the department grow, evolve, and transition into the professional organization it is today. He was part of the team during those formative years — and is a proud charter member of this firefighters union
Brian even spent a short chapter serving the Township as a Police Officer, giving him the unique distinction of protecting this community from more than one uniform.
Through all of the changes, Brian remained part of the team.
But the mission never did change: answer the call and take care of our community.
After 30+ years, Brian is officially hanging up his gear and closing this chapter. While we will certainly miss having him around, we are grateful for everything he has given to East Whiteland Township, this department, and the members who had the privilege of working alongside him.
