While EWTFD Squad 5 was responding to a tractor trailer fire on the turnpike, Ladder 4, MICU 4, and Squad 2 were dispatched to Route 202 for a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Upon arrival, crews found one individual trapped in a vehicle down an embankment in a creek. Rescue 53 was added to the assignment, and together the crews worked to safely free the occupant from the vehicle. Once extricated, the patient was transported to the hospital. Emergency personnel remained on scene, restoring equipment and providing support until being released by command.
