Malvern FC Host Water Rescue Training

On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, Malvern Fire Company hosted a Water Rescue Awareness for the First Responder Training. Many thanks to Chester County Station 4 for choosing WhiteCap Water Rescue Training to instruct their Water Rescue for the First Responder training session. It was a pleasure to meet with your team and share important water safety information. I look forward to working with your members. WhiteCap Water Rescue Training Instructor Todd Stahl lead the training.

This 3-hour classroom training is for anyone who may respond to a water emergency. Topics include scene assessment, activation of the Emergency Response System, evaluation of potential and existing water hazards, scene management, rescue vs. recovery, and personal safety measures. This course meets NFPA 1670 Awareness Level.

Attending were rescue personnel from West Whiteland Fire Company (Station 6) and Manheim Township Fire Rescue (Station 20) and the host Malvern Fire Company.

Congratulations to all students for successfully completing Water Rescue Awareness training! This training was coordinated by Malvern Fire Company Battalion Fire Chief Kyle Vaughn.

A combination Fire & Rescue company located in Chester County, Station 4 house provides services to Malvern Borough and surrounding municipalities.
