| On Thursday, August 20, 2026, Station 4 was dispatched to Paoli Pike and Long Lane in Malvern for a motor vehicle crash with reported entrapment. The incident was described as a collision between a vehicle and a backhoe, with one vehicle overturned.
Chief 4, Ladder 4, Engine 4, MICU 4, and Unit 4-30 responded to the scene. Due to multiple possible locations and unclear circumstances, Chief 4 requested Squad 5 to assist with the response.
Upon arrival, Chief 4 confirmed that a person was trapped inside the vehicle and assumed command of the incident. MICU 4 was able to open the door and assist the occupant out as other fire units arrived.
Squad 5 was returned from the scene, and Station 4 units remained on site until the roadway could be reopened to traffic. |
