On July 4th 2022 at 2120 hours the East Whiteland Fire Company (Station 5) was dispatched along with mutual aid from Malvern Fire Company (Station 4), Paoli Fire Company (Station 3), Berwyn Fire Company (Station 2), Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co. (Station 68), to the 500 Block of South Atwater Drive for the reported house fire. Rescue 5, Brush 5, and Ambulance 5-2 were all standing by for Chester Valley Golf Club Fireworks and responded immediately upon dispatch. Ambulance 5-2 arrived on location and reported a 4 story town house with fire showing from the attached garage to the rear of the building. Rescue 5 arrived as the first due engine and began fire attack. Engine 2-1 arrived on location as the second due engine and laid 5 inch supply line to the scene to supply Rescue 5. Crews operated on scene for approximately 2 hours before clearing.
