Assist East Whiteland on the Garage Fire

At 0215 on Thursday, March 24th, the Malvern Fire Company was dispatched as part of the initial alarm to assist the East Whiteland Fire Company for a reported House Fire in the area of Buttonwood Avenue. Assistant 5 arrived on the scene to find an attached garage on fire. Engine 5 (East Whiteland) arrived as the first due engine and began suppression efforts with their own water supply and stretched an 1 3/4" handline. Ladder 4 arrived and took the first due truck, Malvern Fire officers were assigned support functions and all crews operated until being released by Command.
