At 4:45PM station 4 was dispatched for a garage fire in the 100 block of Church in Malvern Borough. Companies assisting Station 4 were Station 2, 3, 5, 54 Ambulance along with Chester County Fire Marshal's.

Chief 4 arrived on location with smoke showing from entrance to the garage and assumed Command of the incident. Battalion 4 took Interior Operation while Assistant 4 assumed Fire ground Operation. Engine 4 arrived and started fire suppression, Engine 5 and Engine 3-5 crews provided overhaul and checked for extension. Engine 2-1 was assigned RIT for the incident and later assigned to provide roof ventilation.

The fire was placed under control at 5:01PM and companies were on scene for approximately 3 hours.
