Serious Accident on Old Lincoln Highway

At 12:35 on June 22nd, 2015 Malvern Fire and EMS units along with Engine 5-2 were dispatched to the 300 block of Old Lincoln Highway for a reported accident with entrapment. Battalion 4 (J. Vaughn) heard the accident and arrived immediately to find a landscaping trailer damaged and a passenger car overturned with a subject still inside. As the size-up of the scene was continuing the subject in the passenger vehicle self-extricated and it was found there were two injuries at the scene. Chief 4 (N. Vaughn) arrived, established Old Lincoln Highway Command, returned Engine 5-2 and requested a second Ambulance to assist at the scene. Tac 4 arrived and assisted with patient care until both patients were transported by Ambulance 4-2 and Ambulance 5-2 to Paoli Memorial Hospital. Once the hazards were cleared from the roadway and the police investigation was completed, all units went available at 1:27 PM.
