On Friday February 27th, 2015 the Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Cavalry Court, in Chesterbrook, for a reported electrical fire outside. Assistant 2B (M. Valocchi) was the first on-scene and reported smoke showing with possible fire in the attic of the home. The assignment was upgraded to a structure fire bringing Ladder 4 on the alarm. A second alarm was requested shortly after the upgrade as the fire was possibly spreading to adjacent units. Ladder 4 (Deputy Chief Gastwirth) responded shortly after dispatch and was the third arriving unit on-scene. The crew was sent to the adjacent home (Bravo exposure) to check for any fire damage to that unit. The fire was held to the original unit but units on either side suffered some smoke and water damage. Malvern crews assisted on-scene for approximately 4 hours until being released by the incident commander.

A special thank you to Ladder 56 from the Goshen Fire Company who covered our district while we were committed on this incident.
