One Injured in Willistown Crash

Just after 9:00 hours on Monday, December 1st, Malvern EMS was dispatched to Delchester Road south of Goshen Road in Delaware County Station 41s local for an auto accident. While enroute, Ambulance 4-2 with Medic 4-1 was advised that the accident was being upgraded to entrapment per the report of the Willistown Police Department.

Malvern EMS arrived to find a vehicle overturned with one occupant trapped inside the vehicle. Delaware County Rescue 41 (Newtown Square) arrived soon after and began the extrication. Rescue, EMS and police units worked together to extricate the lone occupant which required stabilization of the vehicle and removal of both driver's side doors by the Rescue crew.

The rescue was complete in less than 20 minutes. The occupant was transported to a local trauma center for evaluation and treatment.
