Representative Milne’s Kids Fest

On Saturday June 15th Representative Duane Milne held his annual kids fest at the Church Farm School in West Whiteland. The fire company participated by providing fire truck rides with the 1955 Mack. The crew provided fire truck rides to all the attendees, even well past the end time of the event. Additional presentations were provided by the West Whiteland Fire Company, East Whiteland Fire Company, Jeff Stat Helicopter, and numerous other public safety and informational displays. Warren Avenue Automobile Accident

At 21:18 hours Station 4 Fire and EMS units were alerted to the intersection of Warren Avenue and Andrews Road in Willistown Township for an Automobile Accident.
Initial reports indicated that the caller had heard an accident in the area but was unsure of the exact location or if anyone was injured.
Chief 4 (Vaughn) and Deputy 4 (Gastwirth) arrived along with Ambulance 4-2 to find a vehicle off the roadway, through a fence and up against a tree.

Main Line Chamber Foundation Ceremony

On Tuesday June 11th the Main Line Chamber Foundation held its fourth annual Hometown Hero’s ceremony at the Lower Merion Township Building. This is an annual ceremony that awards scholarship to college students to any of the Main Line Fire Company. This year Lieutenant Tommy Fitzgerald was awarded with a $1,500 scholarship to continue his education at Temple University. Close Call at Outback Steakhouse

At 19:12 hours Station 4 was dispatched for Ladder 4 and Engine 4-5 along with Eninge 56 (Goshen)to assist Station 5 (East Whiteland) in the 600 block of Lancaster Avenue at the Outback Steakhouse for a report of smoke in the building.
Initial reports indicated that smoke was coming from vents inside the restaurant and that they were going to begin evacuating the building.

Minor Crash at Sugartown Road and Monument Avenue

At 12:37 hours Station 4 Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Sugartown Road and Monument Avenue for reports of a Motor Vehicle Collision.
Ambulance 4-2 responded and was advised of a two vehicle accident with unknown injuries.
Tac 4 and Ladder 4 responded and assisted with securing the vehicles and checking for any hazards. Stations 54 & 56 (Goshen) Fire Police assisted with traffic control at the incident scene.

Vehicle Versus House in Willistown

At 17:01 hours Station 4 Fire and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Providence Road and Goshen Road in Willistown Township for reports of a motor vehicle accident.
Ambulance 4-2 responded and was advised of an accident involving a vehicle in to a farm house with unknown injuries.
Deputy 4 (Gastwirth) arrived and confirmed the location to be in Company 41's area. He also advised of a minor accident involving a vehicle and the house.

Afternoon Crash Injures One

At 12:32 hours Station 4 Fire and EMS units were alerted to the intersection of Paoli Pike and Sugartown Road for reports of a motor vehicle crash.
Initial reports indicated a single vehicle in to a telephone pole with unknown injuries.

Second Brush Fire of the Day: 3500 West Chester Pike

At 22:20 hours, Tac 4 along with Tac 3 (Paoli) and Brush 56(Goshen) was alerted to assist Delaware County Station 41 (Newtown Square) with a brush fire to the rear of 3500 West Chester Pike in Newtown Township Delaware County.
Tac 4 made the response and arrived to assist with mop up at the scene of the two acre brush fire. Delco Station 64 (Edgemont) and Delco Station 46 (Rocky Ridge) also assisted at the scene.
