By MFC Watch Desk
April 14, 2015
On Tuesday April 14th, 2015 at 4:02 PM Malvern Fire Company Fire and EMS units, as well as a Rescue-Engine from the East Whiteland Fire Company were dispatched for an accident with entrapment at Devon Road and Paoli Pike, in Willistown Township. Deputy 4 (Gastwirth) was the first arriving confirming one patient trapped and took over the operations of the incident. Chief 4 (N.Vaughn) arrived and assumed Paoli Pike Command requesting additional fire police from the Goshen Fire Company and Paoli Fire Company and an additional Ambulance from the Paoli Fire Company. Malvern Fire and EMS units arrived and began extrication and patient care of the trapped subject. Extrication was completed by the crews of Tac and Ladder 4, and the Rescue-Engine from East Whiteland Fire Company was returned as their services were not required. Malvern and Paoli Ambulances transported two subjects to Paoli Hospital. Once the roadway was cleared, all units opened up the roadway and returned at 5:28 PM.
