At 17:40 hrs Ladder 4 was dispatched for RIT along with Station 52 (Goodwill) and Station 53 (Fame) to assist Stations 54/56 (Goshen) with a house fire in the 900 block of Westtown Road in Westtown Township.

The Westtown Township Police Department was reporting the house fully engulfed. Chief 54 (Everhart) arrived confirming fire through the roof of a 1 1/2 story home at 17:42 hrs and established command as Engine 54-1 arrived on the scene and laid 5 inch up the drive and deployed multiple hand lines.

At 17:43 hrs Chief 54 requested Engine 4-5, Engine 3-5 and Tanker 52 for water due to lack of hydrants in the area.

The crew of Ladder 4 arrived at 18:01 and deployed our RIT equipment and stood-by as the RIT team for the incident. Engine 4-5 arrived at 18:04 hrs and supplied water to the scene while the crew assisted the RIT team.

Additional Tankers from Chester and Delaware Counties were called to the scene due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area.

Engine 4-5 Dropped over 15,000 gallons of water while on scene and the RIT Team stood-by with no services needed.

Crews from all over remained on location until the fire was placed under control.

The fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshals Office. Final Malvern fire units cleared the scene at 20:59 hrs.
