At 12:44 hours Station 4 was alerted to the unit block of Woodland Drive in Willistown Township for a reported field fire. Initial information from the county indicated that there was a field on fire with no further details.

A few moments after dispatch, the county advised Battalion 4 (J. Vaughn) that it was believed to be a lawn mower on fire. Tac 4, Engine 4-5 and Ambulance 4-1 made the response. Crews arrived to find a lawn tractor and surrounding leaves and brush on fire.

Tac 4's crew deployed a 1 3/4" attack line and quickly extinguished the fire, placing it under control within minutes of arriving. Engine 4-5 was used to supply additional water to the Tac.

A resident was transported to a local hospital with burns by Malvern EMS. Final Malvern Fire units cleared the scene by approximately 13:30hrs.
